Brother embroidery machine
A computerised Brother embroidery machine for turning digital designs into precisely stitched patterns — including with conductive threads, enabling functional electronics to be embroidered directly into fabric.
What it’s used for
- Prototyping e-textile sensors, electrodes, and interconnects with conductive yarns.
- Integrating haptic actuators and wiring into garments and soft, wearable form factors — a natural extension of ACUTE’s vibrotactile research toward everyday-wearable devices.
- Rapid iteration of wearable and soft-hardware designs, from pattern to stitched prototype.
Access for collaborators
Available to researchers, designers, and artists exploring smart textiles and wearable haptics. We can support conductive-thread selection, digitising designs, and integrating electronics.
