RME MADIface XT + multichannel AD/DA
The lab’s audio backbone is built around an RME MADIface XT interface paired with multichannel AD/DA converters, giving a large, low-latency, tightly synchronised set of analogue inputs and outputs over MADI.
What it’s used for
- Driving loudspeaker arrays and spatial-audio rigs with many synchronised output channels.
- Capturing microphone arrays and multichannel experiments with matched, low-latency inputs.
- Playback and recording for psychoacoustic experiments, auralisation, and binaural/immersive audio work — including with the KEMAR manikin in the anechoic chamber.
Access for collaborators
Available as the signal backbone for multichannel measurement, playback, and recording setups. We can help integrate it with your transducers, arrays, and experiment software.
