Mohammadmahdi Karimi’s latest paper has been published in Biomimetics. The study presents a forearm-worn vibrotactile system that conveys prosthetic knee-joint position to transfemoral amputees without visual monitoring.
Healthy participants reliably detected dual-actuator tactile cues encoding joint angles, validating the design parameters for a non-invasive proprioceptive feedback interface.
